The Tolman Sweet apple is a historic, cold-hardy American heirloom apple dating back to the 17th or early 19th century. Very sweet with virtually no tartness; the flesh is firm, crisp, and slightly dry rather than juicy. Grows in USDA zones 4-9. Blooms late and requires another variety blooming at the same time for pollination.
