Pitmaston Pineapple is a small russeted dessert apple which has a rich flavor of being nutty, honey sweet, with a hint of pineapple. It was grown in England in 1785. The flesh is cream, fine-textured and slightly juicy. Aromatic when cut. Grows in USDA zones 5-9. Blooms late and is self fertile. Excellent disease resistance. Trees are bench grafted 1/4-3/16 inch diameter and 1 1/2 to 2 feet tall when shipped.
