OUR STORY
Newtown Pippin apple is an all purpose apple with yellowish flesh, very firm, crisp, juicy, and moderately acidic with a clean fresh taste. Self fertile. Blooms late. It will pollinate other apple trees blooming at the same time. A favorite of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Ben Franklin. The Newtown Pippin was the only food commodity exempt from the crown import tax during Queen Victoria’s reign because her court liked it so much. Trees are bench grafted 1/4-3/16 inch diameter and 1 1/2 to 2 feet tall when shipped.
