OUR STORY

The Gray Pearmain is a rare, heirloom dessert apple originating from Maine, around 1870, known for its tart and distinct pear-like flavor and excellent storage capabilities. Firm, crisp, white flesh with a sweet-tart balance with a subtle pear flavor with hints of honey and vanilla. Medium-sized, slightly with opaque greenish-yellow skin, with a characteristic grayish bloom when ripe. It is eaten fresh as a dessert apple, but also for making excellent cider and juice. Grows in usda zones 4-8. Blooms midseason and requires another variety blooming at the same time for pollination. Trees are bench grafted 1/4-3/16 inch diameter and 1 1/2 to 2 feet tall when shipped.
