Developed by the University of Minnesota apple breeding program, released in 1991. Features unusually large cell sizes that burst rather than compress when bitten, creating an explosive, loud crunch. Sweet like honey with a mild, refreshing tartness.Excellent for fresh eating, snacking, and slicing into salads; can also be used for baking. Blooms midseason and requires another variety blooming at same time for pollination. Trees are bench grafted 1/4-3/16 inch diameter and 1 1/2 to 2 feet tall when shipped.
