Grimes Golden Apple Tree

Grimes Golden was found in 1804 by Thomas Grimes in West Virginia, near a cider mill and nursery established by Johnny Appleseed. It has yellowish crisp flesh that has a spicy sweet flavor. Grimes Golden is self-fertile and an excellent pollinator for other varieties. Grimes Golden is an all purpose apple. It grows in USDA zones 5-10. It blooms late and is self fertile. Excellent disease resistance. Trees are bench grafted 1/4-3/16 inch diameter and 1 1/2 to 2 feet tall when shipped.
