The Geneva crab apple is a small-to-medium, red-fleshed variety developed in the 1930s known for its beautiful pink blossoms, dark maroon leaves, and very tart fruit used primarily for making vibrant red ciders and jellies. Grows well in USDA zones 4 through 8. Partially self-fertile, but yields best with a cross-pollinating variety. Trees are bench grafted 1/4-3/16 inch diameter and 1 1/2 to 2 feet tall when shipped.
