The Fireside apple tree originates from Minnesota around 1943. The Fireside apple is named for FDR's "Fireside Chats" . This apple is resilient. It is crisp, juicy, sweet. It keeps long and is flavorful. The Fireside is very aromatic. Fireside keeps well and is cold hardy. Grows in USDA zones 3-10. Blooms midseason and requires another variety blooming at the same time to pollinate.
