OUR STORY
Large Heirloom apple grown from a chance seedling before 1800 in Massachusetts. Yellowish flesh, moderately firm, mild to sweet subacid, aromatic very good quality. Henry David Thoreau’s favorite apple. Grows in USDA zones 5-9. Bloom mid to late season. Requires another variety blooming at same time for pollination. Trees are bench grafted 1/4-3/16 inch diameter and 1 1/2 to 2 feet tall when shipped.
