OUR STORY

The Arkansas Black apple is a seedling found in an Arkansas orchard in 1870. The apple is hard when you first pick it, but softens and improves in flavor with storage. The apple has a mild but balanced flavor, more sweet than acid. The apple is great for fresh eating, pies, sauces, cooking and cider. The tree is disease resistant. It grows in USDA zones 5-10. It blooms late and needs another tree blooming to pollinate. (Grimes Golden. White Pearmain and Newtown Pippin good pollinators)
