Snow Fameuse apple tree originates from Canada, although the seed may have originated in France and brought by settlers before the 1700s. French missionaries and settlers planted this tree all over Canada and Northern U.S.A. This apple is the parent of the McIntosh. Flesh is very white, tender, juicy, tender, spicy, with occasional red stains near the skin. The Snow apple is long lived, reliable bearing tree that is great for backyards. Snow Fameuse apples are great for fresh eating, cider, or baking. Reproduces true to variety when established from seed. Grows in USDA zones 3-10. Blooms midseason and requires another variety blooming at the same time for pollention. Consider any of the following: Grimes Golden, White Pearmain, Liberty or Newtown Pippin as self fertile pollinators for this tree.
