Hunt Russet Apple Tree

OUR STORY

The Hunt Russet originated on the old Hunt Farm in Concord, Massachusetts in the mid-1700s, near the old North Bridge of Revolutionary War era. It is sweet and tart, nutty, with a hint of pear flavor. Hunt Russet will store three to four months. Grows in USDA zones 3-10. It blooms late and requires another variety blooming at the same time to pollinate. Consider Grimes Golden, Liberty, Newtown Pippin or White Pearmain as possible pollinators.
