Freedom Apple Tree

OUR STORY

The Freedom apple is a vigorous yielder, disease-resistant fruit variety introduced by Cornell University's New York State Agricultural Experiment Station in 1983. Large, bright red skin often with a yellow blush or stripes. Sweet with a mild tartness, crisp texture, and juicy, tender white flesh. Excellent for fresh eating, applesauce, baking, cooking, juicing, and cider. Very resistant to apple scab, powdery mildew, cedar apple rust, and fire blight. Grows in USDA zones 4-9. Blooms midseason and requires another variety blooming at the same time for pollination. Trees are bench grafted 1/4-3/16 inch diameter and 1 1/2 to 2 feet tall when shipped.
