Red Clapp’s Favorite Pear Tree is a red bud sport of Clapp’s Favorite. It is one of the best for fresh eating, large fruits with red skin, a fine texture, and very juicy. Can be eaten straight from tree. Originally from Massachusetts. Grows in USDA zones 4-10. Requires another pear tree for pollination. Trees are bench grafted 1/4-3/16 inch diameter and 1 1/2 to 2 feet tall when shipped.
