The Pipsqueak apple is a tiny, highly flavorful dessert crabapple. Cross between Frostbite (MN 447) and Chestnut crabapple, bred by John Bunker at Super Chilly Farm in Palermo, Maine, around 2005–2009. Exceptionally juicy and sweet with bright tropical notes reminiscent of a piña colada or apple cider. Hardy in Zone 4, blooms midseason. Self-fertile. Trees are bench grafted 1/4-3/16 inch diameter and 1 1/2 to 2 feet tall when shipped.
