(zones 5-9) Cider Apple
Available on both Bud 9 and MM111 Rootstock.
Kingston Black Cider Apple originated in Somerset, England, in 1820. Only used for cider. It is too sharp, acidic, and astringent for fresh eating or cooking. Blooms very late and requires another self-fertile apple variety blooming at the same time for pollination. Grows in USDA zones 5-9. Trees are bench grafted 1/4-3/16 inch diameter and 1 1/2 to 2 feet tall when shipped.



(zones 4-8) Firm, crisp, white flesh with a sweet-tart balance with a subtle pear flavor with hints of honey and vanilla.
