Egremont Russet apple's origins begin in England around 1872. Considered the best tasting of the English russets. The Egremont Russet apple is sweet, nutty, a perfect balance of sweet and acid. Skin is gold flecked with yellow and nearly covered with russet. The Egremont Russet pairs well with salads and cheese. Grows in USDA zones 4-9. The tree is self fertile. Trees are bench grafted 1/4-3/16 inch diameter and 1 1/2 to 2 feet tall when shipped.
