The Black Oxford Apple Tree produces deep purple, nearly black heirloom apples known for exceptional cold hardiness and long winter storage. Originating in Maine around 1790, this versatile variety thrives in cold northern climates and yields dense, sweet-tart fruit. Grows in USDA Zones 3 through 7, surviving extreme winter cold. Blooms mid to late season. Requires another variety blooming at same time to pollinate. Grimes Golden, White Pearmain good pollinators for tree. Trees are bench grafted 1/4-3/16 inch diameter and 1 1/2 to 2 feet tall when shipped.
