The Farmer General

George Washington, a man who had the nerve to lead a rebellion against the full weight of the British Empire. His $225,000 personal debt was the main reason for his willingness to risk it all. His farm was unable to make a profit because the London tobacco merchants had a corrupt monopoly. Washington wanted to break free of this monopoly. Above all, Washington wanted local control over farm products for market rather than be at the mercy of outside forces. Be revolutionary, support your local farmers and other local businesses!
