Sacred Beeswax

Updated: Mar 9, 2020

Beeswax has always been a sacred resource throughout history. People have always felt a touch of the sacred while burning beeswax candles. According to Rudolph Steiner, the father of the Biodynamic Movement, it is due to the honeybee spending a fair amount of time flying up into the air to gather pollen and nectar. This biological function of the honeybee transfers as a metaphor to us humans. We too are brought up into sacred space seeing the beeswax candle burn.
