It is a warm February day and the bees are out taking their flights. Let’s cross our fingers that the bees can make it through the rest of the winter. Cold and moisture are a hives greatest threat. The black plastic on the hives are placed there to help insulate the hive. At the top of the hive, we place a moisture board that soaks up in moisture in the hive. We do our best to give our bees a helping hand in surviving the cold, damp and dark winter. May we all find the fortitude to get through winter with a smile and a grateful heart! Spring is coming!
