All Hail the Earthworm!

Cleopatra of ancient Egypt is well known for using her wiles to charm Antony and Caesar for physical and political survival. Her real genius is knowing that the true heroes of Egypt were its earthworms. She instilled the death penalty to anyone who removed the earthworms from the grain fields. She understood they were the reason Egypt was the breadbasket of the Mediterranean area. She even went as far as to deify the earthworm. Earthworms are as important as the sun to human agriculture. They fertilize, create tunnels for flow of water and roots, and move and create tons of new soil every year. Stillwater Valley Orchard and Apiary celebrates this friend of us all!
